The
problems:
People need affordable housing
People need stable investment opportunities
There
are too many houses on the market
|
|
Many people have lost their homes and either can't
afford to buy again, or can't find a rental property
that works for both the tenant and the owner.
In
October of 2007 the Dow Jones hit the 14,164 mark.
On March 10, 2009 it went UP to 6,926. In mid-October
2009 the Dow was flirting with 10,000 - still
4,000 lower. The Dow lost 10 percent in the second
quarter of 2010, closing at 9,774, the worst quarter
since the first quarter of 2009. That represents
a huge loss in value.
Too
many houses on the market means that values will
not start to increase until the supply has dwindled;
many of them are being neglected and losing value,
and in some cases they are an eyesore for the
neighborhood. |
