Initial
Meeting
OK,
somehow we have found each other and decided that it would be good
to get together and talk over your situation. 99% of the sellers
I meet will want to know what I think their home is worth so I pretty
much assume that I will be doing some sort of market analysis, even
if its an informal one. Here's how it usually goes with me:
1.
Before coming over to the home I will do some preliminary work,
gathering data about your home and area. Depending on how much time
I have to work with I will get the information the township/city
has on-line for Realtors to use, and I can get some of the sales
information off the multiple listing service.
2.
Next, I will visit you and walk through your home and see just what
we have to work with.
3.
I'll ask questions, about both the home and your plans. Some of
these questions may seem quite personal so let me explain that I
am a professional, just like a doctor or lawyer. I need information
from you to help you make some important decisions about your home.
You don't tell your doctor your head hurts when its really your
leg, right? He needs information from you. So do I. If you dedide
to hire me we have to work as a TEAM, not adversaries. Only straight
talk between us will allow that to happen.
4.
Depending on the circumstances we may or may not go over my marketing
program at this time.
5.
I will leave some documents and information for you to look at and
make an appointment to return with the completed market analysis
and go over my complete marketing program. At that point we can
discuss anything you wish to talk about and decide whether you want
to hire me and whether I want the job. At the least it should be
an informative and, hopefully, pleasant experience for both of us!
